Digital and print design inspired by balance in nature.
TG Escapes specialises in modular built, timber frame structures. This natural solution to building is the foundation of the Embracing Nature project, promoting schools that provide "education in a natural environment".
At the early stages of the initiative there was a need to draw on the support of funders. Koki was asked to design a beautiful prospectus that communicated the research and planning behind the project. In addition to the printed prospectus, we proposed a website which could consolidate the content on a digital platform. The website serves as a digital resource that is easily shareable, reaching a broader audience. It also gives TG Escapes the flexibility to update the content as the project progresses.
A simple visual identity was developed that included a logotype, colour palette and type style. The logo icon is a simple expression of a tree alongside modular blocks, expressing the alignment of nature and building.
The prospectus is styled as a beautifully crafted book. It captures the concept of biophilic learning in the understated design, earthy colour palette and generous use of white space.
The website design follows the same aesthetic approach as the book design. Simple, minimalist layout using generous spacing and bold typography make the content accessible and easy to follow. Beautiful visualisations of the school structure are combined with nature photography, video and illustrated icons, telling the story of TG Escapes' mission to create healthy, sustainable buildings to support education.

The website consolidated their content on a digital platform. Easily shareable, it would be an effective tool for creating awareness and gaining wider support.
"Importantly, it is when nature is our teacher that this work is at its most inspiring."
"Working with Koki is a joy. Karen is one of those rare people who is both highly creative and incredibly organised. She works fast and with passion, but also with an eye for detail."
